I own a Pur. Always liked it better than the Brita because of it’s sleek shape. It’s a personal preference.

Question by JF84: What is the new home water filter pitcher that fills four reusable bottles?
I have seen a television commercial for a home water filtration system that is similar to a brita water pitcher. However, instead of storing the water in a pitcher it actually filters the water into 4 reusable bottles. Does anyone know of this product. I cannot find it online. Thanks for your help!

I believe it is; PUR CR-6000 2 stage Oval Water pitcher that has the highest ratings compared to the competition. 5 brands were tested and this one was tops. Brita came in 3rd.

Question by cyberlarry7: What is the most effective Water Pitcher Filter in terms of removing contaminents?
I’ve been researching the web to find the best Water Pitcher Filter — which one removes the most contaminents. Unfortunately, I can’t locate any good comparison-reviews. All I know is that Brita ranks lower in tests when compared to the Pur brand . . . but how does Pur compare to all the others on the market?

If you have an answer (and perhaps a webpage showing the data) I would really appreciate it! Thanks for your help!

We did research on this last fall and we found that the Pur was the only one that removed microbiological cysts, cryptosporidium and giardia. We bought the Pur.
